Kip McGrath Education Centre – Alice Springs

Jennifer has over 25 years of experience teaching literacy and numeracy across primary, secondary and specialist disability settings. Before taking over the Kip McGrath Education Centre in Alice Springs, she worked for three years with the NT Department of Education, mentoring teachers in urban and remote schools in ways to support English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) learners. She has taught at Centralian Senior College, Acacia Hill Special School and Amoonguna School. Her background also includes teaching VET work skills to secondary and adult learners, as well as VET English as an Additional Language certificate courses to adults.

Jennifer holds a Master of Education (TESOL), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, a Bachelor of Arts, and a Graduate Certificate in Accelerated Literacy. She holds VET Certificate IV qualifications in Training and Assessment and Career Development. She also has additional qualifications in Personalised Learning, Special Needs, Read Write Inc.
