I am a highly experienced teacher and tutor with almost 20 years in primary education, and lived experience with ADHD and ASD.
Synthesis Education was founded to address the UNIQUE challenges many families face in their educational journeys. Every learner is different, and my inclusive, non-judgemental approach means that you and your child feel valued. I also understand that parents and carers sometimes need support. Services are offered both online or at the client's home, throughout the school day and weekends - perfect for home-schoolers and busy families!
Parents and carers are invited to have a free 15 minute phone consult for each new client to discuss needs and goals:
Then, some ideas for STUDENT tutoring sessions might be:
- Initial basic skills assessment
- Addressing gaps in learning
- Gifted and talented
- Homework assistance
- Understanding literal and inferential questions
- Working through Maths algorithms and problem-solving questions
- Test readiness (NAPLAN, PAT-M. PAT-R, etc)
- Coming soon: Spelling, reading and writing intervention
For PARENT/CARER sessions, some ideas may include:
- Upskilling in order to help your own child with their homework
- Assistance with IEP's/ILP's, CAP's, etc
- Discussions about advocacy meetings and how to approach these with confidence
A report is provided at the end of each session, with recommendations for follow up.
